BIOGRAPHY

Jabulani’s approach to work and life in general is driven by a strong sense of ubuntu and a commitment to make sure that legal representation is accessible to everyone, from large corporates to low-income clients. He is a solutions-oriented professional with a proven track record of quickly getting up to speed in new practice areas and achieving positive outcomes for his clients. He is always looking for an opportunity to transition to public interest work and representing low-income clients in labour and rental matters.

 

Jabulani’s commitment to community development is evident in his leadership of the firm’s pro bono work, as well as his involvement in community awareness on different areas of law, including presenting and analysinglegal matters on Ikwekwezi FM (SABC Radio) and other community radio stations. He was previously appointed as a Board member of KwaMhlanga Hospital by the MEC for Health in Mpumalanga from 2009 to 2012 in terms of Section 41 (6) of the National Health Act. As a founder and President of Jabulani FC, most of his spare time is spent in soccer development in the community or enjoying SA’s marvelous landscapes.

Jabulani is an admitted attorney with a right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa, having graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with an LLB Degree in 2008 and having been admitted to practice in 2009. He joined KHR Attorneys in 2007 as a candidate attorney and was appointed as a professional assistant, then promoted to an Associate in 2013. He was promoted to the position of Senior Associate in 2016 and was eventually appointed as a director in 2019.

His areas of expertise include drafting of legal opinions and contracts, High Court and Magistrate Court civil litigation, Personal injury (RAF) and Medical Malpractice litigation, Claims against the Minister of Police, Litigation for various Municipalities and Family law cases.
